What is kGoal+

BACKGROUND workouts

The pre-designed, free workouts/games in the app are a great way to get a well-rounded and fun pelvic floor workout.

But they do require you to be focused on the kGoal app the whole time. What if you are a multi-tasker, and want to record your pelvic floor exercise while you are participating in an exercise class, or watching TV, or reading a book, or running errands?

BACKGROUND workouts are the way to do that -- just start the workout, make sure you stay within Bluetooth range of your phone, and your kGoal will measure and record your pelvic floor exercise until you tell it to stop.

kGoal Stream & Workout Analysis

This new feature drastically increases the richness of data that the kGoal app is able to record and analyze for all workouts, including BACKGROUND workouts

  • Workout Intensity

A quick, simple way to quantify the average intensity of each workout.

  • Rate of Contraction

How quickly were you able to activate your muscles during that workout? Quick-twitch muscle response is important in a variety of scenarios, like bladder control when you sneeze or laugh unexpectedly

  • Rate of Release

How quickly were you able to relax your muscles during that workout? Difficulty relaxing the muscles can lead to hypertonic, or overactive, pelvic floor muscles

  • Resting Level

This metric is also related to the rate of release, and assesses how fully you can relax your pelvic floor muscles after activating them (this can also be an indicator for hypertonic muscles)

  • Energy Per Squeeze

This metric provides information about what type of muscle activations were present in the workout. Were they shorter or longer? Harder or softer?

LiBDO program

This enables much deeper analysis of your exercise, including calculated values from the workout that include Workout Intensity, Rate of Contraction, Rate of Release, Resting Level, and Energy per Squeeze.

The real-time Squeeze Level during the workout is shown in the kGoal Stream graph. This visualization allows you to see not only the strength and relaxation levels achieved during each contraction/release in the workout, but it also lets you see theshapeof the contractions, holds, and releases.
